Marlon E. Yarde has been with the Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE) Group since November 1,
2003. The Group comprises the parent company, Barbados Stock Exchange Inc. (BSE); its wholly owned subsidiary, the Barbados Central Securities Depository Inc. (BCSDI); and BCSDI’s own subsidiary, BCSDI Custodian Trust Services Inc. (BCTSI). Mr. Yarde currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
Over his twenty-one-year tenure, Mr. Yarde has provided strategic leadership in several
transformative developments within the BSE, including its demutualization and the
establishment of the International Securities Market.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Yarde holds the designation of Fellow from both the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados. He is also a Chartered Governance Professional and Chartered Secretary, and a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
Mr. Yarde holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Huddersfield in the
United Kingdom, and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree specializing in Securities Law from
Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in Toronto, Canada. He has also completed a
Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Management Research Methods from Edinburgh
Napier University, Scotland.
Mr. Yarde is a passionate advocate for sound corporate governance and continues to promote best practices throughout Barbados and the wider Caribbean.
