Dr. Sherry Constantine

Dr. Sherry Constantine currently leads the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Sustainable Financing work in the Eastern Caribbean. She was previously the Marine Spatial Planning Process Lead for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Micronesia and Polynesia Chapter. During this time, she also provided support to develop marine focused conservation projects for the countries of Angola, Argentina, Maldives, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, and Sri Lanka. Prior to this role, she was the Director of TNC’s Eastern Caribbean Program where she was responsible for program and project management including projects related to coastal resilience, protected area designation and management, marine spatial planning, conservation finance, and ecosystem-based adaptation. In 2022, she led the TNC team that closed a Blue Bond/debt conversion that will create 50M in conservation funding over 15 years for Barbados. She has a master’s degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of the West Indies and a PhD. in Biology (focus on Marine Ecology and Biology) from the University of Miami. She has the majority of career working on sustainable finance, climate change, and marine conservation projects in several countries across the Caribbean, Pacific, Latin America, and Africa. She is a Fulbright scholar and a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
